We wanted the real thing. Here.
San Diego has gyms and spas. We’re building the place in between: a club just for real Finnish heat and moving cold water.
Almost nowhere here does it right.
Supportive, not extreme.
Finnish heat
160–195°FBuilt with Finnish sauna professionals. Two bench levels, so you can start low and work up.
Moving cold
39–55°FYour own tub with water that keeps flowing. Pick your temperature and your current.
Quiet by design
Phones in lockersNo gym floor, no loud music, no upsell menu. An hour that’s actually yours.
Those looking to rejuvenate.
Bringing the German “Sauna Paradise” to San Diego.
Max grew up with sauna. James found it when he needed it. Both saw how few places do it right.
Max
Germany → San DiegoGrowing up in Germany, I was surrounded by real sauna culture. Later, as a competitive athlete and entrepreneur, I learned that true performance and mental clarity came from disciplined recovery, not just harder training. When I moved to San Diego, I was surprised by the lack of authentic contrast therapy spaces.
James
San Diego nativeGrowing up in San Diego, saunas weren’t part of my world. I spent years building a career as a rare coin dealer, working long hours and focusing on business success. But that relentless pace took a toll. Weight gain and burnout crept in, a wake-up call that I wasn’t taking care of myself.
Rooted in Finnish tradition.
Designed for California life.
We created RAPID because we both felt how powerful a simple, consistent sauna and cold plunge practice can be. A calm, modern club where anyone can build it into their week and see results: less stress, faster recovery, clearer thinking.
Coming to Midway Drive.
Midway / Sports Arena
for hot & cold only
